Alfa arrives in 2014 Posted by ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ryan) on Sat, 12 May 2012 09:34:20 In Reply to: Saw a new Alfa yesterday, No Snaab, Sat, 12 May 2012 06:36:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Alfa Romeo is due to arrive statewide in 2014. Among the models arriving will be the new 4C sports car and the Giulia sport sedan (replacement for the 159). They go back and forth about bringing the MiTo and Giulietta here.
The Dodge Dart does indeed share a platform with the Giulietta, but it is by no means a reskinned Giulietta. Platform engineering is much more sophisticated than this now, and the Lancia-Chrysler effort is of a different purpose. I don't agree with it, but it is akin to Vauxhall-Opel.
Keep the faith in SAAB, news reports say it is down to Mahindra and Youngman now, and I'm fairly certain the admins favor Mahindra. I think we have a good chance for a rebirth of SAAB and with a owner who cares more than GM ever did.
I'd be excited to have an Alfa 4C and SAAB "Castriota" 900 Turbo in the garage in a few years.
