I don't think the VIN number has been made public.

TimR wrote in his first post about the car:

While walking through Saabs final assembly plant at the beginning of december I saw a number of cars that passed through what is called the marriage point. This is where the subframe of the car joins the body, this is also the point where the car gets is final identity and is per definition a car. You might say that this is where the car is actually and legally born.

The last per-definition car that was found on Saab’s production line is a arctic white 9-3 Aero Griffin Sedan, being that important I was allowed to take a photo of it. A few weeks ago I found out that a car matching the description of the car I saw, was the last car that ANA had bought from the bankruptcy-estate with the intention to finnish assembly of the car and then sell it. So the last 9-3 ever to come off the production line is for sale…

Thats right, this car has the highest VIN number out of any 9-3 ever produced. Thats the measurement we’re using to count cars, in effect this is the last one.
