Went to Cadillac/Saab dealer and bought their last V6 coolant expansion tank last week. Noticed that my brake fluid cap was falling apart due to the exposure to leaking hot coolant and heat from turbo I suspect. Then went to dealer and picked up their last brake fluid cap. They laughed and said i was the only happy saab customer they have seen in a while because they have almost no parts left.

They said that the part situation was supposed to be back on line in a matter of days. They also said that the talked to the "saab girl" in Allentown and she said that they have no parts to distribute even if the channels get re opened.. They also said that the dealer has been informed that they will have to pay some sort of monthly franchise fee to be a distributor Saab parts and that the dealer probably wont do it. If that is the case I wont have a local saab parts provider ( at least for a while) ............ just some less than authoritative info that I wanted to pass on ...keith.
