Yeah, bought a reman for my Alfa and one for my 9-3. These days there aren't that many compressors. The guts are all the same, it's just the head and the pulley that changes. My unobtainium Alfa 164 compressor is now a Ford compressor (with FoMoCo sticker!) with the Alfa head and pulley. Works great! I used a shop in Reno to produce the Alfa's compressor, but bought the 9-3's compressor online. Only thing I would probably recommend (based on my experience) is to buy the Saab expansion valve and drier. They are - reputedly - a higher quality than aftermarket ones. I still have the aftermarket expansion valve in a box - it is definitely, physically, a lower quality than the genuine part. Maybe buy the reman compressor, but source the other parts from eeuro or thesaabsite etc.
