What a strange thing to have done a "study" about. How fulfilling is that for a career to be watching birds poop?
But since someone did a study I feel compelled to share our own crack pot experience on the subject.
Every spring birds migrate over our house in a consistent flight path and seem to bomb us as a group. They plaster the back of our house and the driveway as they fly over. It happens day after day for some time before it finally stops.
Some of our Saabs are in the garage and some are left outside in the driveway.
We did at one time notice that our red Saab seemed to get bombed more by the birds but it was depending upon where it was parked in the driveway. Our white Saabs did get bombed badly by the birds if left further away from the house in the driveway, but never as bad as the red one.
It was bad enough that we moved the cars around and noticed a decrease in the daily bombing.
All purely subjective stuff here in our observations and it does cause me to wash the Saabs DAILY or at least hose them off because they get so badly covered in bird stuff in a short time each morning.
It just wasn't enjoyable to come out each morning to cars covered in poop and needing to wash them before work because you couldn't see out of the windows. But a study was done on this? Gosh and I thought I spent too much time pondering stupid things!
