the vintage matters a lot. A 1994 NA 900 is not especially exciting as saabs go + could prove to be problematic due to any unsatisfactorily resolved first year issues (that were ironed out by around 1996-97). In terms of fun, it neither has the oomph fun of a turbo nor the handling fun of the c900 that preceded it (even a NA c900 is a fun to drive)...
Still I'd rather own the Saab than a 13 year old Insight. The Saab at least has comfortable seats in it. Around here, that honda would be rusting to pieces by now. A low mileage Honda civic will be cheaper to run than an early NG900, but an early hybrid? who knows?
imho the guy is a bit of an idiot. par for the course at TTAC... at least he bought the saab cheap, so he won't be upside down on it...
