I don't see how Scania not letting NEVS use the griffin symbol is the end of the world. It would have been nice, but word is even Spyker was looking at discontinuing its use to save on licensing fees. I've always liked the SAAB-Scania badge, but considering Scania is long time out of the picture, why even use the symbol of another province (ie, Scania). I think they would do well with just the enlarged stylized SAAB logo, this works fine for Jeep. Maybe reintroduce the airplane logo on some spots of the car.
Really unclear why Antonov needs to run his mouth at this point. Sour grapes?
Main issue is a well thought out business plan. If the idea is really to build old 9-3s as EVs for China, the end will be very soon. Makes no business sense what-so-ever to build in Sweden for a closed market such as China. There isn't the desire for SAABs there yet either. Only hope for an EV would be something on par with Tesla technically, but with Swedish design. Car would have to be sold in Europe, US/Canada, and maybe Japan. They should even partner with Tesla, if possible.
Confuses me that the bankruptcy admins actually believed in Swedish export to China of retrofitted 9-3s???
