This is what I posted a year ago - same suit. The law moves slowly in NJ.
NISSAN TRANSMISSION FLAW CAUSES BREAKDOWNS, CLASS ACTION CLAIMS
An allegedly defective transmission has some Nissan owners stuck in neutral, and they claim the car maker knew of the problematic component but sold models equipped with it anyway. The transmission is "predisposed to delayed shift patterns, excessive heat buildup, slippage, harshness, premature internal part wear, and metal debris," the plaintiffs allege in Nelson v. Nissan North America Inc., 11-cv-5712, a putative class action filed Sept. 30 in Trenton. The defect was created principally by matching the 22A transmission, a five-speed automatic units made by Aisin Seiki Co., with an engine too powerful for it, according to the complaint.
