scott have you looked into using a micro instance on AWS? i mean, i can't imagine the amount of traffic you get on saabnet warrants you paying to rent a shelf + bandwidth + keeping the hardware going when you can probably throw everything up on amazon and pay about what you're paying now for business class and bandwidth.
AWS goes down too (that's why netflix isn't working sometimes) but you can always spin up a new instance in a different region and the load balancers do the rest.
if you're dead set on sticking with bare metal (can't say i blame you) lemme know because i have some servers from the boneyard including a 1U half rack intel box that would work out great for what i imagine your setup is like; i also have a huge Sun 420R that would be expensive to run with FOUR REDUNDANT POWER SUPPLIES w00t but would provide you with an intensely frustrating and totally authentic old-school sysadmin experience with SOLARIS 8!
i'm pretty sure that intel machine works; let me know if you want it and i'll get it out and see.
