You could put this out there with badges from Honda, Hyundai, Kia, VW, and a few others with just about no changes at all. It's nice but is basically uninspiring. And it does NOT look like a Saab.
I was at the Amelia Island Concours this past weekend and happened to talk with a professor at the Center for Automotive Design in Pasadena. He said the hardest things to get design students to understand and implement are scale and proportion. He said many of the new designs go too far in one direction or another, and the trend to make the wheels bigger and move them to the ends is used as a crutch when other things don't work. It draws the eye to the wheels and away from the places the designer simply couldn't get the proportions correct, or nail down the details. He is bothered by this because it's making cars look more and more alike, with less creativity in the designs.
