It would be too long of a list but rubber bushings is one that the after market industry has not been able to manufacture.
I just got bit a couple of month ago because I could not get Saab genuine strut mounts for a 9-3 and had a choice between Nordic, Proparts and KYB.
I picked KYB thinking at least they have been in business for awhile selling shocks.
The strut mounts were trashed after one month in service and it cost me dearly since the customer was out of town and I had to reimburse her what she spent here since she had to have it redone at another shop.
But the problem will be all of the specialty parts that are not in high demand and no reason for an after market industry to start making because it is just no profit in it and as I said, with no dealer/warranty network demanding genuine parts to be installed, it will be no incentives making that part.
But I think one thing that will come in handy is these 3D printing devices where they can crank out weird plastic parts for not that much money. That could save the day somewhat on special looking parts.
