I never saw an explanation for no production Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 7 Apr 2013 09:07:27 In Reply to: Re: Fisker automotive laid off 3/4 of its staff...., Dano in Texas [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 7 Apr 2013 07:43:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The first article says Fisker stopped producing cars in July of 2012.
Did they run out of money? Too few sales? Deja Vu of Spyker-Saab? Obviously the 338 cars they lost in NJ were headed somewhere since the cars were built in Wilmington DE and could have remained in that site's outbound shipping yard. (Yes they have one, I was there when GM was building the large Saturn at this site).
Odd that everyone other than top level executives were laid off. I would have thought they would keep a couple top level executives and one key person from each Department. Which executive will call the local plumber when the toilet backs-up? Which executive knows the intricacies of the accounting software? Which one can re-boot the server?
