Does anyone else remember the Saturday Night Live parody of breaking news stories? Eddie Murphy was Buckwheat and someone else was Ted Coppel and they kept breaking in and showing the same clip of Buckwheat getting "assassinated" over and over and over with the same somber intonation "Buckwheat is Dead!" Not to make light of some of the events in the news of late and jeeze they chew the carpet on this stuff. If there's something new I'd love to hear about, but I think I'm just going to have to go on a news fast for a few days. Just because we have this ability to have almost infinite knowledge of news events instantly, doesn't mean it's a good thing.
