Appreciate the input. Yes, he is relocating there for the AF, from Patrick AFB here in Cocoa Beach FL. Ill forward on the responses but have a feeling the car is already on the way as he is in PA visiting family now.
There is a huge difference in diagnostic and electronics repair for his '04 vs the '97 advertised, but thats a great idea. I will send the seller an email and ask his opinion and repair shop used. So many things with the newer 9-3s require the use of T2 and TIS etc. that I can see him needing a new CIM/keys/etc while stationed there and being SOL. Id imagine a Chevy dealer could possibly do the repairs with their T2 if they wanted to jump through the rings of programming their T2 etc etc. Time shall tell.
