The biggest issue you may face is the inability to obtain collision or comprehensive insurance coverage for the car. With a "salvage" title, very often an insurance company has paid a prior owner the "total loss" value of the car, and they won't pay twice.
Also, even if someone else hits you and it is 100% their fault, you may not get paid for the value of the car.
Check with your insurance carrier on their policy for insuring vehicles with a "salvage" title.
