So many guys have a stash of junk that sometimes yields parts or materials that are very useful. I get flack from the wife about this. I am a compulsive fixer and go for the junk all of the time. I one had a hinge break on a PSION PDA and went alter a tiny white plastic part from a dead BOSCH coffee grinder and that is still functioning 15 years later.

So we have a artistic sign * that we have had for two years, meant for the garden and did not put out in fear of weathering. That concern seems to have faded and its time to hang it from a tree. Karen says: can we get some chain for this? I conduct her to the basement and say that there is some bronze chain in a paper bag in a box from 1975 and I lead her to the "dump" and reach in an grab it. I asked what do you say about that and she took the 5th... ;}

[* That is another deep story, designed, laser burnt and painted by friends; a memorial.]
