He has a whole house generator that runs off propane. When the power goes out he is refilling the tank almost every day. It's automatic on and off, and it's more generator than I have, but I get over a day of running (~18 hours) on a 10 gallon tank of gas in my 5700 watt unit. Less hassle for him, though. I'm not sure if his house is on propane for heat and cooking or not.
