to you, you've been doing this longer than the vast majority of marriages last!
I think it's safe to say most of us appreciate all the effort & energy you've put into Saabnet over the years. I know for myself it's been a big help.
In the matter of the various gripes. Most of which I think come about because us, the users, figure "eh, why doesn't Scott do this, it would be so easy..." Which is sort of like some shop manual instructions:
1) Remove battery.
2) Remove engine.
3) Replace piston & ring.
4) Install engine.
5) Connect battery & drive away, repair done!
Easy enough right? I mean only 5 steps to replace this broken ring set, how difficult can that be? Of course, that instruction set does leave out the other 437 steps from beginning to end that you don't know about. And the minimum 3 special tools that are also required to be able to complete step 5.
We forget the work on the backside that you have to do for this one or 100 "simple" gripes & wants. Do we want widgets, doohickies and apps w/ links? Possibly. Do we know what's involved to do them? Maybe, maybe not. Could most of us create these "wanted" things? Hmm...
It's also possible that we forget that you have your own life outside of Saabnet as well. Wife, kid, friends, and and other outside things. These things do take up time. Which for those of us without them, or with portions in later stages, we tend to forget the energy involved with doing those things also.
A rousing cheer to you Scott!! If/when I'm ever back in the bay area, the first drink is on me! But maybe we could visit some junkyards on the way to the bar... Thanks again for all your efforts on our behalves.
Sincerely,
Mark B :-)
