It's not Saab, but it works well and seems to last well. Not sure the country of origin, probably China, but it is stainless steel... Had it for 3 years now and no damage whatsoever... basically you can hook it onto any keychain, and it clips and unclips very easily but never seems to fall off. They are called S-Biners, and work like carabiner. I got the smallest one that would work with the 9-5 key. Makes the keychain a bit more bulky, but not too bad. Would be nice if they had an asymmetric one, as the side that clips to the rest of the keychain doesn't need to be as big. If you have a 9000, the smaller ones would work just fine. I don't bother with them for my c900 keys - I mainly wanted to be able to detach the bulky 9-5 key from the rest of the ring when I wasn't driving it. If you decide this is the way to go and want to know what size I have, shoot me an email and I will measure it. The one that appeared best without testing was a tad too small for the 9-5 key. good luck!
