I don't recall what model tires we had from Kumho but got a set of 4 for our '94 900 Turbo a few years back.
Hated them, made me very nervous on damp or slightly wet roads. Terrible traction even on dry.
Fun if you like squealing tires even during careful driving.
They had an aggressive LOOKING tread but were on of the worst tire experiences for us ever. Really not a good match for the car, or our roads.
They were cheap and a recommendation from Tire Rack as I was thinking we were selling that car much sooner than we did.
Gave the tires away while they still had a lot of tread left, hated them that much and I don't give away tires if they fit something we own! I don't need high performance at my age. But we hated them.
Also had a disappointing experience with a set of Coopers that were on one of our 9-3's when purchased used that also were terrible compared to other tires we've run, and I know some folks like Coopers.
We now stick to so called better brands and I'm willing to pay a little more not to be feeling like we're about to slide off one of the steep mountains in the area every time it rains.
So I'll agree tires aren't a place I'll skimp on cost. Cheap as I am, safety and handling matter more to me than tread life.
Last set for one of the 9-3's was around $90 per corner for Yokohamas. Very happy with them. Picked them by their specs, not just price. Those replaced the Coopers and the wife said it made her car finally drive "like a Saab".
