Hi,

So a general car question for the great group here.

Have a newer, low-mileage car I'm taking care of for someone else, driven infrequently, but when it is, it gets normal usage (around town and hwy mix, long enough drives to warm everything up). It has been sitting a lot, and has ~1,200 miles added to it since April.

Since it's getting under 200 miles a month, how often would you change oil? The old rule of 3 months seems unnecessarily frequent, but I realize there are other considerations with oil besides just mileage for affecting it's properties (water absorption over time, etc), so waiting for 3k miles nearly 2 years from now is obviously wrong too :)
I've got some ideas, but wanted to hear other's suggestions and opinions as well.
And knowing this low-mileage condition would last for a while, does anyone have any thoughts on if different types of oil would make a difference on how long between oil changes? Any Mobil 1 fans out there think it could go longer between changes with the 'good stuff'?

V6 2010 Acura if that makes a difference for anyone's thoughts.
