I am not a lawyer and not giving you legal advice, but I would Tell State Farm that you are not their insured and you realize that they may have such an agreement to repair their insured's car with aftermarket parts or used parts. However, you are not a party to that agreement. Instead, this is a claim for tort damages to your vehicle. Tell, them that you will file suit against their insured and they can explain to their insured why they are being sued even though they have insurance coverage. Additionally, tell them that Saabs are getting rare and you planned to keep the car for a long time. Put it in a letter to the supervising claims adjuster that they can resolve your claim fairly or you will add a diminished value claim in your suit. After all, if there was a police report this accident it will show up on the vehicle car fax making it harder to sell. What sucks for you is that you have liberty mutual and they are just as bad. if you resolve the claim with liberty mutual you are bound by your agreement to use aftermarket or used parts. So, State Farm would rather deal with liberty mutual and might call you if they think you are bluffing about suing them. Tell State Farm that you want a letter from them that they are accepting liability. Or tell them that you want to record the call that that they have accepted liability. Should you go to court this will make it easier as only have to show your damages. Fix your car right and go to court with your paid receipt. You can't avoid proving it was the other drivers fault. It's a hassle but I bet they pay it instead of going to court. But this is State Farm, good luck!
