I'm sure I'll offend some big fans of Amazon here, but waiting 20 days for an order is just a bit much. Made the mistake of using up a balance on a gift card the other day for some items. It's been 4 days since I placed the order and still no tracking number. Called "customer service" which as expected is non-U.S. based and just a joy to deal with. "yes sir the order is in transit" In transit where? do you have a tracking number? " no sir, it is in transit " really? what carrier ? UPS USPS ? apparently in transit means floating around the Amazon sized warehouse facility. I guess that's what I get for taking advantage of free shipping, as I NOW recall last time the order was sent thru some deal Fedex has with the postal service, where it is picked up from Amazon (eventually) then warehoused AGAIN until they get a full truck worth to the local Postal Facility which usually equates to a wait time of about 20 days. Lesson learned too late. Never again.
