I wonder how hard it is to get "Bianchi Green" powder?
A bunch of my friends find old bikes like yours that people set out at the curb, strip and powder coat them. We had a good deal going through a friend, who knew a guy who did large automotive work. Basically, the big job would be paying anyway for the booth setup so we'd get our frames sprayed on the side at a reasonable cost (about $70/ea). We'd have to strip the paint (perfectly) and they'd do the rest. The only downside was you had to go with the colour that was being used on the car... so if you wanted red, you'd just wait for a red car to go through. Bianchi Green might be a bit of a wait! I'm sure they would do it for you if you paid enough though...
The paint is rock solid and looks great. Better than factory paint. Holds up well even in winter (some were rebuilt as single speed winter bikes).
