Nice article, congratulations Roger.
I have the same 16" wheels for my Nokian snows for my Viggen, original wheels for summer tires.
TR6 "exremely dangerous and primitive"??? I have owned a TR6 for the last 37 year. I think the TR6 community would join me to suggest that TR6's might not be as safe as current vehicles, in terms of air bags, crush zones etc. but if well maintained and driven defensively can be a lot of fun; the fun factor results in part BECAUSE it is basic, simple and straight forward (as opposed to primitive) and delivers a no-nonsense driving experience. A TR6 is certainly safe enough to drive in any current (paved) road with ample power and excellent brakes, responsive steering etc. And yes, after driving the TR6, driving my Viggen is like driving a posh luxury car with tonnes of power, although my TR6 is modified and delivers about 165hp instead of the stock 106hp.
FWIW, in addition to the Viggen and TR6, I also drive a TR8 and MGB GT regularly during the good weather.
That TR6 in the other article is a beautiful 'museum' car at less than 900 miles, but it is too bad that it was not driven as it was intended!
