Yes there seems to be more evidence showing no impact (although absence of evidence is not evidence of absence), at least with cancer…. but there could be other effects and they may or may not continue for a while after exposure ends. And then there is the amount & type of exposure (time vs. magnitude). Magnitude being a factor of exactly how how high the voltage is and how far away (factor distance squared)… so I would be much more concerned about being right under the really high ones near a plant vs the high but lower voltage at the end of the distribution line and being 100 feet away.
When shopping for our house several years ago we nixed any house near lines as decided with plenty of other choices wasn't worth the risk to health or potential property value impact.
In the absence of evidence or limited information, its a judgement - risk/benefit call.
