I just don't post much anymore. I work on 4-5 cars a day at the shop, so that's about enough SAAB for me by the time the workday is done. My passions have drifted to motorsport for the most part.
I used to read the forms because they were educational for me and I could help owners out, but now I primarily only post and read iATN. The demise of SAAB means for me to make a living I have to expand so I don't spend much time worrying about what the past was but more-so what the future looks like. The conversations over there are more technical and you can more often find resolutions posted to problems rather than owners who stop in for advice and don't post resolutions.
The SAAB owners group on Facebook was about the worst of it. Everyone just wanting the cheapest repairs and parts they could find and unskilled people offering technical advice to people without even knowing what year, model, or engine the original poster had. As enthusiasts and professionals stop buying and owning the cars and people who only buy them because they have a lot of features for a car ~$5000 become the majority of owners, it's not going to be a trade I'm going to have much care for doing.
This is still one of the most respectful online automotive communities I've ever seen though, and there is a lot of valuable information to be had using the search functions.
If anyone cars to keep up with my racing and motorsport endeavors you can follow those at the link below.
