I ask for a few reasons...
1) where you mention carjacking (never even thought of that, but I live north of the border), if you are selling, are you replacing it? if so, you could in principle trade it in for whatever you are buying... unless you are also buying used on that guy's list
2) is there something wrong with it? obviously that will affect it's value and appeal in the market.
Personally, I kind of like the og9-3 that is not a viggen. They are a great utilitarian car, so long as maintenance has been kept up. I'd be a little more concerned owning a newer 9-3 as things dry up further down the road - access to things electronic that need a SAAB scan tool. The main things I'd look for is rust (body condition in general, ie no accidents) and maintenance history. If you have a full history, that may help. Don't expect to get a lot for it, they are probably getting pretty darn low on the depreciation curve right now, but as they disappear, it may turn a corner... seems to have done so for the c900.
