24 ON Physicians / Scam? Posted by EGD [Email] (#663) [Profile/Gallery] (more from EGD) on Tue, 24 Feb 2015 13:50:56 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My sister died at the beginning of the year during a hospital stay and I'm receiving her medical bills as the executor of her estate.
Just got one from '24 ON PHYSICIANS, P.C.' of Atlanta (she died at Lahey Clinic near Boston) for a small amount -- $58.01 -- for 'services rendered by a hospital based physician' but no dates of service, no list of services provided, not even a physician's name or the hospitals she was in (there were two).
They request that I 'verify' the insurance info received from the hospital, etc. Sounds like a scam to me. They even get an 'F' rating from the Better Business Bureau.
Anyone ever heard of or dealt with this this company?
BTW, I have no intention of paying this bill until I get more information from them.
