I followed a very strange looking BMW yesterday.. It was a small SUV/COV with a hideous rear end treatment. Living this close to Detroit I encounter lots of development cars on the expressways wearing disguising body armor to hide the brand and model identifiers. At first I thought that was what I was seeing, but a horrible mis-match between the body armor and the vehicle beneath it.
Then I got close enough to realize the stickers on the rear end were bumper sitckers rather than pieces of colored tape or photo targets, and what I thought was body armor was a black tailgate that didn't seem to fit the car. The real kicker was when I could determine the center bumper sticker was a BMW badge!!
OMG! Their designers have invented a whole new kind of ugly. The side profile is just as bad as the rear. So hideous looking that my eyes still hurt 12 hours later.
