TV antenna question

Guys, I have a Samsung HD TV (almost new) and it has a built in tuner for over-the-air television. I also have a high gain antenna that usually brings in about 60 channels (DC Metro). Well I was experimenting with putting the antenna in a different location and I had the cable from my TV to the antenna on the roof passing through a window. I tried closing the window with the cable going through it... I thought the margin between the window and window frame would be enough for the cable... wrong. When I closed the window my TV stopped getting a signal from the antenna. I then tried a different cable... TV still won't get any channels. I think pinching the cable in the window short circuited either the tuner in the TV, or some circuit in the antenna. Is is more likely the TV got fried, or the antenna?
Thanks,
Rob
