Windshield Washer De-Icer

I have been using Splash De-Icer -20 year round since the car was new. Last year I switched to the -30 version sine it works better getting off light frost without scraping. However, I find that it leaves a white residue on the hood and the plastic below the windshield. It doesn't look good on a Merlot car.
Yesterday I replaced two of the hood nozzles because they were clogged and they both had white residue inside. The Y did not have any residue so maybe the fluid is reacting to the nozzle material.Felix lpipla
Does anyone have experience with a -30 de-icer that does not leave a white residue or is it the nature of the beast?
Thanks for your comments.
