I don't think Justin is much of a Honda fanboy... He's been on Saabnet for a long time, and I really don't recall much talk from him re Honda. Caddy, Lincoln, classic 900's, RV, yes, honda not really... Justin seems about as unbiased and non-fanboy as it gets!
The reality is that Honda makes some decent cars. I find them kind of bland, but they serve a purpose. I'm kind of intrigued that Tim bought into the MDX with SHAWD for *the handling* (he was cross shopping vs BMW sedans iirc). Not really my sort of vehicle, but that is still interesting... and if anything, I'd be accused of being anti-Honda in my biases...
You do seem to jump on any Honda story with great vigour. I think that may be why Justin is calling you out... Sure Honda makes mistakes, everyone does. They are what they are, and actually, for the most part I think they've improved a fair bit over the last decade and a half, regardless of whether or not one regards the changes as "too late" or whatever. SAAB may have had great turbocharged cars 30+ years prior to this new civic with a turbo, but that's kind of moot now if we can't buy SAABs today. The GM stuff really has no more appeal to me than Honda... there is very little common to a Buick and a c900... even to a 9-5... transitioning to other brands will be a challenge for some of us!
