Interesting. My 2008 9-5 with 72,000 miles has a wuh-wuh-wuh sound at speed that is driving me crazy. Last weekend I installed new Bosch quiet cast rotors and pads and while the sound has lessened, it is still there. I will swap the Hankook Ventus all seasons either front to back or with my snows to see if it is in the tires, or the wheel bearings. The tires probably have at least half of their tread evenly all around. The car used to be much quieter.
My 2006 9-5 with Continental Extreme Contacts is whisper quiet in comparison at 94,000 miles. Both 5 speed Aeros.
As the sound does not get worse in turns, my current bet is the Hankook tires, but could it be anything else? Any ideas? How can you isolate a sound to a front or rear wheel bearing?
PS: And Anders, did you go in?
