Thanks for your help Roger -- all of the team was present except one, so our turnout for team duties worked rather well.

We established our Bonneville record just over 140mph on Wednesday, then made several passes while Bryan Harris drove to collect data -- later in the day today, after changing from fuel to event gasoline, and from Boost Juice to distilled water for a different class. I made a pass on the short course at 147mph, then over to the 8 mile course, with a slightly slower speed == equivalent altitude was about 1500 feet higher later in the day, so that didn't help our cause, and the wind had shifted -==- not to mention the long course was the bumpiest a veteran had ever encountered......it was a handful to hold on while adjusting the controls for the classic category. Nothing automatic or electronic is allowed, so we have to manage quite a few cockpit functions.

I was amazed that the radio announcer was Ron Christenson, who drove Saab 99s with Don Knowles at Road Atlanta in the late seventies == also the Chairman of the Board of Bonneville Nationals had worked with Saab cars for 32 years -- all that was coincidental to me, but what a small world it is.

According to Ron, our record was the first set at Bonneville with a Saab 900 OG
