Never had this happen to me in Canada, but I have heard of it being a thing in the US at least a couple decades ago... it still is a thing? I thought the market for large loudspeakers was super-saturated long ago... and now most people want audio installations that are hidden into the room (I'm not one of them, but I also drive a couple 25+ year old SAABs)...

I build my own so I'd never get caught by that scam...
