Did the same thing on our Maytag dryer a couple years ago, also replaced the glides, which were shot. All OEM parts, as there was little price difference between the OEM and aftermarket. Interestingly enough, of the new roller parts we bought, one has badly malformed screw threads, right out of the bag. When I took it back to the parts place, I received a sheepish grin and a shrug like it was a pretty common occurence - and another new roller.
Ran fine for another year until the metal on the drum where the glides attached rusted out. Not worth putting in $125 for another drum on a 25-year-old dryer, so that was the end for the dryer.
