I did not see much in this article that would make him a particularly bad driver. A few speeding infractions and a failure to stop for a school bus in the span of about 6 years.
Read this rebuttal from the comments section:
"PLEASE NOTE: NEW INFORMATION JUST IN TONIGHT: Time to set the record straight! This comes from the Mother of his Niece and Nephew, whom has been in constant contact with the family
1.) Charles Horn's toxicology report was negative for everything, so there goes the rumors he was drunk and or on drugs.
2.) the orthopedic surgeon has said by the way his wrists were broken he was not on his phone, so there goes those assumptions as well.
3.) the lights were NOT on, on the fire truck, there is video and pictures to prove it. If there is blame to be laid it's on the city of Ypsilanti fire department. There was no sign of road flares seen on 94 where this accident took place, meaning they did not place them in the road as they are supposed to do, in addition to their flashing lights everyone keeps saying the driver couldn't have missed, were NOT ON. The vehicle that was behind his had video rolling at the time of the accident and the family is now in possession of that video.
PLEASE - remember that just because someone has a history, does not mean that they don't outgrow the things they did in their youth... and by condemning this man before any facts were released, you have made yourselves judge and jury, only to be proven wrong in this case! NOW.... let's get on with letting these families HEAL - physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially.... without your constant condemning and criticizing an innocent man of committing such crimes as you have... I for one, am sickened at some of the outrageous comments made by some of you people here.
God Have Mercy on your souls... as I'm sure you yourselves, are far from perfect... smh probably one of the hundreds of people I see from the passenger seat going along 23 or 94 texting on your phones, putting on makeup or eating while driving, no seat belt, swerving in & out of traffic like you own the road...etc... but yet you can sit behind your computer and judge another man, and not know any facts."
