I've dcided to remove the paint/clear on my super aeros lips and polish them, and painting the remainder. So I bought some gel stripper and slopped it on thinking, "how tough can this be?" I watched a ton of videos and aircraft stripper is the chemical of choice. Rustoleum to be exact.
4 coats later and plastic scrapers won't touch this stuff. It bubbles the clear, but the silver base coat is giving me fits. Has anyone used this stuff before and can give me pointers? I laid it on thick, then 15 minutes dwell time, plastic scraper, bronze wool with more stripper and a water rinse.
Signed, Frustrated
