but as noted above, the lower rated fluid is basically so it performs better in the normal cold temperatures and has no chance of freezing in the tank whatsoever... it's not because we need -40 all the time.
I enjoy the seasons, but I agree that there are some pros to sunny California also! With cars, dealing with rust is way more of a "snowbelt frustration" for me than buying -40 wiper fluid... oh, that and that everything that breaks tends to do so in winter... the hydraulic supports for both the hood and rear hatch just gave out simultaneously on our 9-5 wagon now that it is sufficiently cold and miserable to do the repair! Stupid Murphy.
