you are calling the wrong wrecker! Talk to someone who specializes in European vehicles. We have a couple of euro yards locally and they do pay more than the places that just crush em as fast as they can. One euro pick-n-pull near us still has numerous c900's. More expensive to buy parts at those places but at least they have stuff. The person you are speaking to is lazy or just doesn't care. Many parts on your car are likely still valuable to the right person even though the mileage is up there. Eg, a set of alloy wheels easily go for $100, and more if they are nice. If the car is rust-free from a southern climate, there are lots of things that are valuable, eg AT cooler lines are shockingly expensive new, and in my climate they all corrode!
The wreckers the charities use tend to be easy crush-em fast places, so it may be better if you were thinking of going that route to instead find a euro wrecker and then donate the cheque to the charity of your choice. More of the car parts will be reused and you probably will get a bigger donation out of it.
If you can part it out yourself you will get more for the parts, but of course that is a nuisance.
