Paperwork might depend on location, eg if you are from California. I have no experience in this process however!
Also good to consider where the car is from. Any cars Ontario-east will most likely have been exposed to a great deal of road salt over their lifetimes. The western provinces use mainly sand as it is generally cold enough that salt is less effective (other than west coast BC).
I think car prices are in general higher up here also, but it might depend on the specific vehicle.
Reading Dave's post below, I was kind of wondering why someone would come from California to buy a car up here when they have rust free cars there... but then I realized, it might be resale value of the vehicle they drove up here, and a new enough vehicle up here may have not seen enough salt yet to matter much (combined with the weak CND).
