One of the starter mounting bolts passes through the flange of the transmission bell housing. That one is only accessible from the top side.
The other bolt(s?) are accessible from below, as is the electrical cable for the starter.
Replace the oil pressure sensor at the same time. It is under $20, is a common failure point leading to rapidly escalating oil leaks, and is only accessible to ordinary humans with the starter removed.
