Cool. The article says the old 2-strokes were "ideal for use in showy Scandinavia," which reminds me of a conversation I had with a retired paper company forester years ago while we were having our 9-5s serviced at Cold Brook Saab in Skowhegan, Maine.
He said the old 2-strokes were the best cars ever for driving back in the woods on logging roads, including in winter. They had flexible piping on the bottom that just bounced over rocks and roots. If one of the "throw-away" engines failed, no problem, you just bolted in another. He remembered riding with moose running alongside "polishing the paint." They ran great in extreme cold, though it could take awhile adding oil to the gas at -20F.
By contrast, one year the company bought Land Rovers, which sucked because they wouldn't even start up in cold weather.
