Congrats! Yes, they are fine cars and I raised two sons in Saabs.

It was amazing to see how much baby and toddler stuff a 2001 9-3 SE (5-spd) could haul on roadtrips. And the rear deck lid made an excellent changing table when necessary. Sold with 176K on it.

I currently have a 2006 9-3 SC (5-spd) with 163K and my son and I will be driving it from Iowa home to California next week. Lots of clearcoat damage but still runs well for the most part.

I had a 2010 9-3 SS (6-spd) with 201K on it but I killed it last December by stupidly rear ending a Tesla on an LA freeway.

Anyway, they’re still great cars, my sons learned to drive sticks, and I wish more were still around.
