Don't laugh...it's been recommended before and it works. Apply a small amount on a rag and rub it into the black plastic trim. Try not to get it on the paint as much as possible. It won't hurt the paint, but it will make for a messy clean up. Let it sit for a minute and then wipe it off with a clean rag. When you get through wash the car with a MILD soap solution...Do not use dish soap.
