I think it bears noting that there are several varieties of Bars Leaks on the market - tablet, pellets, and completely liquified. The one in the small silver bottle (6 oz?) is the one I've seen recommended, completely liquid. I've had it in my 9000 for about a year, similar mileage to Paul, and it's worked excellently.

It rid my cabin of the occassional smell of coolant typical to 9000s, and at 252k, I am still on the original heater core in my car, which not many 9000 owners can say, as I understand. I also have no cooling problems, and if anything, my car runs noticeably cooler than most people with early 9000s report. I don't attribute this to Bars Leaks, but I do feel this makes a good case for the fact that it doesn't gum or clog anything up!
