I don't see how Saab is "losing" its identity - the 9-5 looks virtually the same save for the bumpers. If you call adding brighter, better headlights as an option, ESP, and smarter airbags a downgrade - maybe you should look at Geos. Saab is finally moving to compete more with the likes of BMW and Audi, which is good as it is the only way they can stay in business.
