else go? I was there without my car, didn't get finished painting in time, but man, pretty wild time anyway? LOTS of American muscle cars, Virginia St. was blocked off and for two days outside the Eldorado that's all i heard was the lump-lump-lump of big American V-8's, 24 hrs a day. Everthing from mid-50's Caddy's to Grand National's to Vettes to some weird hippie buses. Minimal rice content fortunately. TONS of 64-71 big block iron too (my personal faves)
Just strolling around talking with some of the car owners, probablytthe most impressive was a completely original 69 Shelby with 16,000 miles and ORIGINAL owner! Very nice guy, I'm not much into Fords but I can appreciate a nice ride and he was a nice guy too. Was one of the very early ones with too with the driving lights in the center of the grille, technically not street legal but Carroll Shelby didn't care...Ford did though, not sure what the cut off is but most Shelbys have the driving lights on the ends of the grille after Ford got more involved.
