Hi Cliff,
I USED to be a customer of Absolute, and would still do business with them IF and ONLY if they had a part I needed desperately or couldn't find anywhere else (highly unlikely).
I've watched Paul's biz go from having 4 techs and a full lot of 3-7 year old cars. Now he's down to himself and one wrench turner (tech would be a great overstatement) and the lot is full of clapped out 900's with out of state plates...i.e., people who broke down away from home and since he is the most heavily advertised saab indy around, they end up there.
The last straw for me was when he kept me and another woman waiting while he yakked on the phone one of his Saabing buddies while I was trying to pay for some parts and she was trying to pay for an oil change. All of a sudden he bolts out the door saying he had to pick up his kid from school, back in 5, which turned out to be more like 30.
He lets his untrained mutt run around peeing on the tires of any car in sight and making a mess in the office. It's sad to watch someone run their biz into the ground, but that's exactly what he's doing. To be somewhat fair, I know his wife is having some health problems, but I've chosen to take my biz elsewhere.
